Alexis + Steven :: Sneak Peek | Austin Wedding Photographer

Alexis + Steven :: Sneak Peek | Austin Wedding Photographer

These two are REALLY good dancers. They danced during our engagement session and they lit up the dance floor at their wedding this past weekend. They tied the knot at cute and kitschy Decker United Methodist and held the reception at the oh-so-nice Barr Mansion, which recently sustained the tragic loss of their ballroom to a fire caused by lightning. Very, very sad. When I heard of the news that morning, I immediately called Alexis to see how she and Steven were doing and if there was anything I could do to help. Surprisingly, Alexis was very calm and laid back and had total confidence that the venue would find a suitable solution. And they did – one of the best outdoor wedding tents in town, which had a monster A/C system to boot! T’was a very lovely day and I am SO happy that Eric and I were able to be a part of it. I am also very grateful to my past clients, Renee and Andrew, for referring Alexis and Steven to me. Have a look at some sneak peeks from their special day!

You have no idea how much concentration, coordination and skill it takes for thirteen people to be able to pull this off! 😉

Bindu + Shameer :: Preview | Sikh Wedding Photographer

Bindu + Shameer :: Preview | Sikh Wedding Photographer

Hello! This past weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing another Indian/Sikh wedding. After shooting my very first one last year, I had hoped that my first time wouldn’t be the last time. As luck would have it, my awesome clients from last year referred me to some friends of theirs and, voila! They’re colorful. They’re fun. They’re eventful and definitely unique. They’re also very, very challenging and I love that! What truly made the celebration(s) colorful and unique were the people themselves. Bindu and Shameer both have really loving families and friends who were such a pleasure to work with. I just wanted to share some preview pictures with you. A big thanks to Eric for helping me out with this one. Congrats to Bindu and Shameer!

I booked these guys….they booked me…..we booked each other….without knowing what their venue was going to be. They had some solid ideas of where they wanted it, but nothing was set in stone. All they had to do was mention that they were gonna serve Salt Lick at the reception and I was sold! They could have their wedding anywhere! At the zoo, in a parking garage, on the beach. As long as they had BBQ, it didn’t matter. Although, they did end up choosing the Mercury Hall, which I am really excited about. Like, REALLY excited. I only wish we didn’t have to wait till next May. We snapped their engagement session a few days ago and I am really pleased with what we got. Eric came along with me on this one – thanks! Check these out…I like ’em!

Shilpa + Nilay :: Sneak Peek | Austin Engagement Photographer

Coffee, anyone?! I met with Shilpa and Nilay for the first time about a month ago to discuss shooting their engagement session. Things were going great, we were having some coffee, the conversation was flowing. At some point I said something that Nilay found to be really funny and he just wasn’t able to hold in his laughter. The only problem was that he had just taken a swig of his iced coffee – PPPPPPBBBBBBBBTTTTTTTT – followed by a fine spray of some of Austin’s finest caffeine beverages hurling towards me. I froze. They froze. It seemed that time also froze. Luckily, the table we were sat at was large enough that the majority of the spray missed me. Can you imagine?! One of the funniest things that has ever happened to me while meeting with clients. Hilarious! They showed up for the portrait session this past Saturday armed only with a bottle of water and smirks on their faces. Good way to start the shoot! Here are a few sneak peeks from the day.
