Meeth + Guru :: Preview – Austin Wedding Photographer

What a spectacular ride it has been!! I just closed out my year with my very first, and hopefully not my last, Indian(Sikh) Wedding. I am forever humbled to have been able to take part of such a beautiful celebration. Meeth, Guru and all their friends and family were so kind, warm, generous, brilliant and just plain AWESOME to work for. Truly an experience that I will never forget. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have had a chance to capture an enormous part of their lives. Here’s a preview of some of the greatness.

Special thanks to Ben Godkin for assisting me with this shoot.

This portrait really defines the kind of fun, free-spirited and raw personalities of Guru and his family

Ahhhhhhhhhh the colors!

Meeth at ceremony

We didn’t get a chance to shoot an Engagement Session since Meeth and Guru live in Los Angeles, so we took some time on the 2nd day to get a session in, prior to the reception. They are sooooo much fun to photograph.  I wish they could adopt me!

Their EPIC reception took place at the Tomball Jet Center.  Probably the only venue big enough to house 500 guests.  This party was INSANE. First of all, Guru and Meeth rode in on a helicopter.  Yes! A freaking helicopter!!  If that wasn’t enough, they had professional concert lighting inside the airplane hangar with a 60 ft. projection screen. O.M.G. This image was taken with my wide angle lens and I could barely even fit half of the venue. WHOA.

As always, thanks for looking. I’ve got tons of images to edit and more blog posts to come, so stay tuned!
