Lindsey + Jason :: Engaged in Hawaii

Jason and Lindsey are two really close friends of mine who are taking that oh-so-important step in life that we call matrimony. Tying the knot. The ‘ol ball and chain. Now they’re also going to be my clients! Now, a lot of professional wedding photographers out there might cringe at the thought of shooting a friend or family member’s wedding…..not me. I can handle it. Jason and Lindsey can handle it. We’re cool like that. I can actually take some responsibility for helping set the two of these kids up. In fact, as I recall it, it was on a double date. And a blind one for Lindsey and Jason! Needless to say, they hit it off pretty well. They’ve pretty much been inseparable since then. They’re probably one of the most active couples out there that I know. Always looking for something to do outside in the sun. Always planning camping trips. Always love entertaining, and love being entertained.

So, back in January, the stars and the moons magically aligned. It just so happened that I was to be in Oahu, photographing a wedding, at the same time that Lindsey and Jason were going to be there on vacation. More importantly, though, was that Jason had planned to propose to Lindsey while they were in Hawaii. She’s a lucky gal, ain’t she?? Well, Jason’s just as lucky as she is. You know the term “when in Rome”? Well, if you’re a photographer and you’re in Hawaii with two of your friends who just got engaged……

It was a really windy afternoon…..40MPH winds.
