One of the sweetest coupes I’ve had the pleasure of working with! Though, this was not my first time to work with
Bethany – it just so happens that she was the wedding coordinator for a Leslie and John’s wedding in Hawaii this past January. Nine months later, I get an email from Bethany asking me to be the photographer for her wedding. Needless to say, I was very excited. What an honor! I’ll be posting more on these two next month….in the mean time, enjoy the preview!

Tulsi + Jesse :: Sneak Peek | Engaged

The weather this past Sunday could not have been more favorable. Sunny blue skies with puffy little clouds, a nice breeze and very mild temperatures. Hooray! Fall is near! Tulsi, Jesse and I took full advantage of the weather and did a bit of shooting at Auditorium Shores as well as downtown. Had a little bit of trouble with all the dogs at the park, they wouldn’t leave me alone. One of them even lifted their leg up on my camera bag…..and you know what happens next! :-/ Oh well, not much I can do about it besides laugh. We still had a great time and Tulsi and Jesse were really fun to work with. I’m really excited about their wedding in November, which includes Western as well as Indian(Hindu) traditions. Anyhow, here are some sneak peek shots from their session.

It’s all about the connection.

When Erin and Joe met at a concert at Nutty Brown Cafe last year, I bet they instantly knew that there was something really unique and powerful about their attraction. Fast forward to the present and that passion and bond is still very obvious and apparent, even to an outsider like me. When I’m shooting an engagement session, I try to capture the energy of the couple and the immense connection that they have between them. I also encourage them to have lots of fun. Well, Erin and Joe stepped up to the plate and delivered! Here’s a few of my favorites thus far. Enjoy!

I had the honor of shooting Shay and James’ engagement session this weekend. A big THANK YOU to them for driving up from Houston for this session. This is one of those rare occasions where I didn’t get a chance to meet my client face-to-face until their shoot. That didn’t stop us from having fun and producing a great session with lots of awesome pictures. Stay tuned for the rest of the set, which I will post before I leave for my vacation later this week. In less than two months, Renee and Andrew are going to be exchanging vows and tying the knot at Star Hill Ranch. This was another session that ended at The Ginger Man , but this time it wasn’t my idea…it was theirs. Honest! Needless to say they do love the beer, but it’s also very apparent that they really dig each other. Probably more than the beer. We had a great session even though it was chilly and overcast out. We made the best of it. I could’ve hung out with them all day. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding! Congratulations, you two! Enjoy the pictures!

A super nice couple who were surprisingly easy to work with(have I told you before how much I love my job and how much I love to photograph happy couples?!). Mayra + Andy :: Engaged Part II

Hey, Everyone! Here’s another continuation from a teaser that I posted a few weeks ago. As you may recall, this session encompassed two days, with seven locations and four wardrobe changes. That may seam like a lot of work, but I feel that it’s totally worth it. If you met Mayra and Andy, you would be able to tell fairly quickly that they’re one of those couples who are going to live happily ever after. Mayra is a school teacher and Andy is a fire fighter – both really good souls in my book! Well…without further ado, here are the images from their session!

It was kind of difficult for Andy to relax for this shot because I was laying on my stomach on the road and he was afraid that a car was going to hit me.

The Home Slice is one of their absolute places to frequent! I can’t really blame them….some of the best pizza in town!

This is actually Andy’s old dilapidated truck that had to be rolled out into the field because it isn’t operational…….YET!

I don’t normally use textures, but this image was just begging for it. What do Y’all think?

Andy’s Beagle was such a cooperative pooch in front of the camera!

Mayra + Andy :: Engagement Teaser

Howdy, Y’all! Here are a few teasers from Mayra and Andy’s engagement session(s) from this week. I’ve been working closely with this couple for a bit now and they are really great clients! We managed to get in seven locations with four wardrobe changes in a span of two days. Yep, you read that right! A fun time was had by all! It’s so nice when clients are open to your ideas and visions and are easy to pose and direct. That’s exactly how these two lovely people were. Keep in mind, these pics don’t even begin to scratch the surface! We got some really good ones! I just want to give them something to look at until I finish their set. Thanks Mayra and Andy for being so patient, willing and for braving the steamy weather. Hope you like these!
